Welcome to Aloka Spa & Massage. By accessing our website, making a reservation, purchasing a treatment, or using our services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.

Please read the following terms carefully before making a reservation.

GENERAL

Aloka Spa & Massage provides massage, spa and wellness services in Batam, Indonesia.
These Terms & Conditions apply to all reservations and services made through our website, online booking system, WhatsApp, social media, third-party booking platforms, or directly at our outlet.
Aloka Spa & Massage reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions from time to time. The applicable terms are those in effect at the time of your booking.

RESERVATIONS

Reservations are subject to availability and are not considered confirmed until confirmation has been provided by Aloka Spa & Massage or through our authorized booking system.
Customers are responsible for providing accurate information when making a reservation, including:
– Full name
– Contact number
– Date and time of appointment
– Number of guests
– Selected treatment or package.
Please check your booking details carefully. Aloka Spa & Massage shall not be responsible for errors resulting from incorrect information provided by the customer.
We recommend that customers arrive 10–15 minutes before their scheduled appointment to allow sufficient time for registration and preparation.

PAYMENT

Payment requirements may vary depending on the booking channel, promotion, or type of reservation.
For bookings requiring advance payment, payment must be completed within the specified payment period. If payment is not received within the stated period, the reservation may be automatically cancelled or released.
A reservation is only guaranteed once the required payment has been successfully received and the booking has been confirmed.
Prices displayed on our website are subject to change without prior notice. However, the price applicable to a confirmed and paid booking will remain subject to the terms stated in the booking confirmation.
Any bank, payment gateway, currency conversion, or transaction fees charged by the customer’s bank or payment provider may be borne by the customer unless otherwise stated.

CANCELLATION & REFUND

Unless otherwise stated in a specific promotion or booking confirmation, payments for confirmed bookings are non-refundable.
Cancellation after payment has been made will not normally qualify for a refund.
No refund will be provided for:
– Late arrival resulting in reduced treatment time;
– Failure to attend the appointment;
– Cancellation after payment;
– Unused portions of a treatment or package;
– Voluntary discontinuation of a treatment after it has commenced.
Aloka Spa & Massage may consider exceptional circumstances at its sole discretion. Any refund, credit, or other compensation offered in such circumstances is discretionary and does not establish an obligation to provide the same in future cases.

RESCHEDULING

Customers may request to reschedule a confirmed appointment, subject to availability and the applicable booking conditions.
Rescheduling requests should be made at least 2 hours before the scheduled appointment time.
A booking may be rescheduled for a maximum period of 30 days from the original booking date, subject to availability.
Rescheduling requests made less than 2 hours before the appointment, or after the appointment time, may be treated as a cancellation or no-show.
Promotional bookings may be subject to additional rescheduling restrictions as stated in the relevant promotion.

LATE ARRIVAL

Customers are encouraged to arrive 10–15 minutes before their appointment.
If a customer arrives late, the treatment may still end at the originally scheduled time in order to avoid affecting subsequent appointments.
The full treatment price remains payable even if the treatment duration is shortened because of the customer’s late arrival.
In exceptional circumstances, Aloka Spa & Massage may attempt to accommodate a late arrival by adjusting the schedule, subject to availability.

TREATMENT & THERAPIST REQUESTS

Customers may request a particular therapist, subject to availability.
A therapist request does not guarantee that the requested therapist will be available at the time of the appointment.
Aloka Spa & Massage reserves the right to assign or change the therapist when necessary due to scheduling, operational, health, safety, or other reasonable circumstances.
Customers must communicate any discomfort, pain, sensitivity, allergies, injuries, or other relevant concerns to the therapist or management during the treatment.
Customers may request the treatment to be adjusted, reduced in pressure, paused, or stopped at any time if they feel uncomfortable.

HEALTH & MEDICAL CONDITION

Massage and spa treatments are intended for relaxation and general wellness and are not intended to diagnose, treat, or cure medical conditions.
Customers are responsible for informing Aloka Spa & Massage or the therapist before treatment of any condition, injury, allergy, pregnancy, medication, recent surgery, or other circumstance that may affect the suitability of a treatment.
If a customer has a medical condition or is uncertain whether a treatment is suitable, the customer should consult a qualified medical professional before receiving treatment.
Aloka Spa & Massage may decline or modify a treatment where we reasonably believe that providing the treatment may pose a risk to the customer or therapist.

CUSTOMER CONDUCT

Customers are expected to behave respectfully toward Aloka Spa & Massage employees, therapists, management, and other customers.
Aloka Spa & Massage has a zero-tolerance policy toward harassment, abusive language, threats, violence, inappropriate sexual behavior, or any other unacceptable conduct.
Aloka Spa & Massage reserves the right to immediately terminate a treatment or refuse service where a customer’s conduct is considered inappropriate, abusive, threatening, or unsafe.
In such circumstances, the customer may not be entitled to a refund.

PERSONAL BELONGINGS

Customers are responsible for their personal belongings while visiting Aloka Spa & Massage.
Aloka Spa & Massage recommends that valuable items be kept securely and not brought into the treatment room unnecessarily.
Aloka Spa & Massage will take reasonable care of customer belongings but shall not be responsible for loss or damage caused by the customer’s own negligence, unless otherwise required by applicable law.

PROMOTIONS SPECIAL OFFERS

Promotions, discounts, packages, vouchers, and special offers are subject to their respective terms and validity periods.
Unless specifically stated otherwise, promotions cannot be combined with other promotions, discounts, vouchers, or loyalty rewards.
Promotional prices are only applicable to the treatments and periods specified in the relevant promotion.
Aloka Spa & Massage reserves the right to modify, suspend, or withdraw a promotion in accordance with its stated terms.

GIFT VOUCHERS & CREDIT

Gift vouchers, credits, and promotional vouchers are subject to their individual validity periods and conditions.
Unless otherwise stated, vouchers are not exchangeable for cash.
Lost, damaged, expired, or unauthorized vouchers may not be replaced.
Voucher terms may vary depending on the type of voucher purchased or issued.

ONLINE BOOKING

Online reservations may be processed through third-party booking or reservation platforms.
Customers acknowledge that the use of third-party booking platforms may also be subject to the terms and privacy policies of those platforms.
Aloka Spa & Massage is not responsible for technical problems caused by third-party platforms, payment providers, internet connections, or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

WEBSITE CONTENT

Aloka Spa & Massage makes reasonable efforts to ensure that information displayed on this website is accurate and up to date.
Treatment descriptions, photographs, prices, operating hours, promotions, and other website information may be changed from time to time.
Photographs displayed on the website are for illustrative purposes and may not represent the exact treatment room, facility, therapist, or treatment setup available at the time of your visit.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

Aloka Spa & Massage will take reasonable care in providing its services.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Aloka Spa & Massage shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from the use of our services or website.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions is intended to exclude or limit any liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited under applicable Indonesian law.

FORCE MAJEURE

Aloka Spa & Massage shall not be liable for failure or delay in providing services caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
Such circumstances may include, but are not limited to, natural disasters, fire, flood, epidemic, government restrictions, power failure, public disturbances, technical failures, or other unforeseen events.
Where reasonably possible, Aloka Spa & Massage may offer an alternative appointment date or other appropriate solution.

PRIVACY

Customer information collected through our website, reservation system, or other communication channels will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable laws.
By making a reservation, customers consent to Aloka Spa & Massage using their information as reasonably necessary to process bookings, provide services, communicate regarding appointments, and comply with applicable legal requirements.

GOVERNING LAW

These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Indonesia.
Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms & Conditions or the services provided by Aloka Spa & Massage shall, where possible, first be resolved through good-faith discussion between the parties.

 Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I came here with a big group of friends to all get varying different types of massage: thai, balinese, etc. some of us got the 60mins massage, while some got the 90mins massage. I got the 90 mins one as well.

The massage itself was good, the masseuse put in enough pressure to relief some of my sore muscles. however, the experience left a sour taste because instead of the 90 mins that i paid for, she only massaged me for roughly 60 mins. When she left the room for me to change back into my clothes, i saw the timer was still running with ~ 25 mins left remaining. I tried to give her the benefit of the doubt that maybe she was late to turn the timer on at the start. However, when i checked the time on my phone later on, it was odd as it doesn’t seem like it has been 90 mins. Moreover, none of my friends that took the 90 mins massage were done. if any, i was one of the ones to finish even between the 60 mins group.

I tried to clarify with the therapist, but she insisted that it has already been 90 mins and even tried to stop me from going back to the front desk too soon😅I asked to just go back to the front desk and eventually clarified with them instead. They checked, apologized and then tried to correct it by giving me a 30 min neck n shoulder massage.

Overall, I thought that it was disappointing as the massage was good, just that the therapist was dishonest about the duration. when confronted by the front desk she said that the timer died in the middle and she couldn’t check how much time was left, but i clearly saw there being ~25 mins left at the end. hope the team improves this in the future. I know other massage places will make sure the therapist shows at the start that they have started the timer, and i will clearly hear the timer end at the end.

 Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. first spa experience with aloka! got the 2 hour spa package with milk bath spa for 680k rupiah per pax (as of July 2024) it was very relaxing and the masseuse was perfect at her job😌 the body scrub and mask was kinda rushed but you could stay in the bathtub for 30 minutes before rinsing off
